This training is designed for child care providers and focuses on fostering a child’s inner drive to learn through respectful and responsive caregiving practices. It introduces the Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE) method, emphasizing the importance of treating children with respect, communicating clearly, and responding to their cues. The training also highlights strategies for embedding these caregiving practices into daily routines, promoting independence, exploration, and consistency in a child’s environment.

You are supporting children, families, and staff, making decisions all day long, and holding things together in ways most people never see. This collaborative is designed as a professional learning space where directors can gather ideas, talk through challenges, and connect with other leaders who understand the realities of the role. This session covers operational systems and best practices to help streamline your workflow!

In this ERS session, our Observation specialists will dive into specific topics of the Environment Rating Scale (ERS). This focused discussion will offer insights into enhancing quality in specific areas of your environment, aligning with ERS standards. Gain a deeper understanding of how targeted improvements can elevate your program’s overall quality.

Now’s the time to register for the first-ever Child Care Gubernatorial Forum! Join child care providers, parents, and community members to hear directly from candidates for Governor on the issues that matter most to Wisconsin’s children and families. As of June 30th, 2026, the Erikson Town Square website- and resources held there- have been discontinued. As Erikson explores new funding and partnerships, they are envisioning future professional learning pathways inclusive of family child care strengths and specialties.
